The Kerr-Buggs Island Safety Council is a non-profit public service organization formed to:
Promote safety in all recreation activities in and around John H. Kerr Reservoir.
Provide a meeting location and topic format for its members.
Provide programs for citizen group meetings to promote recreation safety.
Distribute recreation safety information.
Make recommendations to the appropriate officials concerning matters affecting recreation safety.
The membership of the Council shall consist of those organizations and agencies and interested persons who will promote recreation safety through education, training, safety inspections and/or law enforcement.
The KBISC meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday. Meetings alternate between Virginia and North Carolina. The meeting starts at 1pm and generally last an hour.
The council works on a small budget provided through contributions. Any contributions are gladly accepted and can be sent to the contact address below. Address your envelope to xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Indicate the donation is for the Kerr-Buggs Island Safety Council. If you wish to file this donation on your taxes, please include your Name and Address so the appropriate donation form can be sent to you for your records.
